Lay Ministry Collection – A special  collection for Lay Ministry will be taken up at all Masses this weekend.  It will  replace the share collection.  Your support will be very much  appreciated.

Maranatha – Our May Maranatha events takes place on Friday next, 3rd May, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm in St. Patrick’s Church and will also be broadcast on our parish webcam (https://churchmedia.tv/camera/st-patricks-church-donabate ). We will be particularly remembering all our young people who are studying for, and undertaking, exams and assessments at this time. As always, we remember in a special way all our young people at Maranatha as well as bringing our own intentions. If there is anyone you would like    remembered at Maranatha this month, please email the names to myam.admin@gmail.com by next Wednesday if possible.

5 FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTION will continue in our church on Saturday next May 4th starting @9.30am with The Rosary. This devotion was requested by Our Lady of Fatima. Our Lady promised that observance of the 5 First Saturdays would hasten Peace in the World.

It consists of the following:

  1. Praying the Rosary
  2. Receiving Holy Communion
  3. Confession
  4. 15 minutes Meditation on The Rosary.

Please join us as we pray for Peace in our world.

 

May Family Mass  – Saturday 4th May – Our next Family Mass will take place at the 6.30pm Mass on Saturday, 4th May, in Donabate Church. We would be delighted if families can participate on the 4th – please spread the word!  Any families wishing to join the family mass team can register their interest by emailing donabateparishcm@gmail.com

 

Donabate Portrane Darkness into Light 2024 – The annual Darkness into Light walk in aid of Pieta House takes place at 4:15am on Saturday 11th May at venues across the Country and the world, including here in Donabate Portrane. To add our parish support to this event, we will be opening Donabate Church from   approximately 4am on Saturday 11th for anyone who would like to come in to light a candle, take some quite time etc. All welcome to pop in for as long as suits.

Annual All Ireland Rosary Rally is scheduled to take place at Knock Shrine on Saturday 1 June.  It is an occasion to celebrate with families and friends our belief in the power of prayer.    Please see church notice board and parish website for  more details.   Bus leaves Donabate @ 8am.  Cost €30.  Contact Lóirín 087-241-2611 or Aisling 083-345-3205

 

Swords, River Valley, Donabate & Brackenstown Partnership Lourdes             Pilgrimage.                                                     The partnership is organising a pilgrimage to Lourdes on Sunday 15th – Thursday 19th September accompanied by Spiritual Director Fr. Donabate Meals on Wheels – NEW DRIVERS REQUIRED                                        If you would have an hour or two to spare once a fortnight to help deliver meals in the Donabate area please contact Deborah 086 8276555.

 

Donabate Memory Café held the last Wednesday of each Month in the Donabate Community Centre, 11am – 1pm.  The Memory Café includes information talks, music, games and refreshments. 

 

Call for more Eucharistic Adorers – Fridays   We are blessed in this parish to have Eucharistic Adoration in Donabate Church each Friday, currently from 12noon to 4:30pm. This is such a special opportunity to come and spend some quiet time with the Lord. As our team of regular adorers is small, we would love if more people could commit to spending some time each Friday with the Lord. If you can commit to 30 minutes or more each Friday between 12noon and 4:30pm please contact the parish office.

 

First Holy Communion Rosary Beads and  St. Theresa Prayer Cards and medals are available to purchase at the parish office.

 

Monthly Family Mass  – invitation to get involved – Little reminder that our monthly Family Masses take place on each First Saturday of the month.

We welcome parents who are interesting in volunteering.
