Hospitality Dates for the diary: Tea and coffee after mass will run throughout the summer every 2 weeks in the Parish hall. Everyone is welcome! We will have lots of homemade baking to enjoy and would love to see you there.   Hospitality will run on the following dates: 15th and 29th of June, 13th and 27th of July.

 

Corpus Christi Procession – Sunday 22nd June  To mark the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (The Body and Blood of Christ) on Sunday next, 22nd June, we will have a short Eucharistic Procession around Donabate church at 12 noon and will ask the Lord’s blessing over our parish. We invite and encourage as many of you as possible to join us. We invite any children who received Holy Communion for the first time this year to help to lead the procession. We also invite them to wear their First Communion clothes to whatever Mass they attend next weekend as we celebrate this important Feast.

 

Exam Prayer Space         Our Exam Prayer Space is located on our youth notice board at the back of Donabate Church where we invite you to write your name, or the name of anyone you know who is studying/taking exams at this time. We also encourage parishioners to pray for our students at this time.

 

Donabate Teen Youth Group     Our teen youth group is starting the Alpha course this May at our online youth group sessions on Friday evenings from 8-9pm via Zoom.  If there are any teens who’d like to join us, you’d be more than welcome. A parent/guardian can register their interest by emailing: donabateparishcm@gmail.com

 

Weekly Comtemplative Prayer Groups

Come and join our weekly contemplative prayer groups in the library room of Donabate Parish Hall (little room to right hand side of main door).

Tuesday evenings 7-8pm(must be 18+)

Friday mornings 7-7.25am(must be 18+, or be accompanied by a parent/guardian).

 

All Things New 2025: The Parish Young Adult Faith Fellowship invite you to come and join us for All Things New on 28th and 29th June. This is an annual Jesuit Young Adult Retreat in Gonzaga College. The themes this year are prayer, relationship and vocation. There will be a mixture of talks and workshops, time for prayer and for recreation. Tickets cost €70, discounted to €50 for students. Dublin Diocese Lourdes Associate Membership.  On the weekend of 21st and 22nd June we will welcome your support to help send a sick Pilgrim to Lourdes.  You can support by becoming an Associate member of the Pilgrimage and all donations will be very much appreciated.

 

Sacred Heart Consecration Knock, Sunday 22nd June Bus leaves Donabate Church at 7.30am Cost €35.   To book – Mary @ 085 1345113 or 085 1722241.   Details on Church notice board.

 

Due to holidays, there will be no 10am Mass on Saturday 28th June, instead a Prayer Service will be held and any Mass intentions already booked for the 10am Mass will be remembered at the Prayer Service and will also be included at the 6.30pm Saturday evening Mass and the 11am Sunday Mass.  Mass will be celebrated as normal in Portrane at 9.30am, Donabate at 11am and Balheary at 9.30am on Sunday 29th June.

 

 

Bayside Alpha is hosting on Zoom a Summer School on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary for 6 Sundays, starting on Sunday the 22nd of June at 7:30pm. The series is a mixture of video and discussion. To join please email Paul at alphabayside@gmail.com

 

Get to know Carlo – a Saint in his teens Donabate youth group invite young people aged 13-18 to join them online on Friday evenings as we start to learn about Carlo Acutis, the teenager due to be canonised as a Saint this year. We meet via Zoom from 8pm-9pm most Fridays (other than First Fridays when we have Maranatha). For any young person interested in joining us, a  parent/guardian can register their interest by emailing donabateparishcm@gmail.com

 

Prayers for the Holy Souls in Purgatory every Friday after the 10am Mass. All welcome.

 

Tap & Donate – Thank you to all who use the Tap & Donate contributing to the First & Share collections.
The amount collected for March and April 2025 was €635.

 

The Family Offering for May 2025 amounted to €3853. Thank you all for your support.

 

Donabate Memory Café at the Donabate Portrane Community Centre on the last Wednesday of Each Month 11am to 1pm.
