St. Patrick’s Day – This coming Friday 17th March is the feast of St. Patrick, our Patron Saint. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Pat Hannon in Irish at 11.00 am in Donabate with the Louise Flood Irish dancers at the beginning of the Mass. Mass will be celebrated at 9.30 in Portrane and 11.30 in Balheary.
Stations of the Cross led by Children – volunteer readers and artists required – as in prior years we hope to have Stations of the Cross led by children at 12 noon on Good Friday (7th April). If there are any children who would like volunteer to read a short passage or to draw or design one of the Stations, we ask parents/guardians to contact the parish children’s ministry email donabateparishcm@gmail.com before Friday 31th March.
Lenten Reflection Time continuing each Sunday – Come and join us each Sunday of Lent at 6pm in St. Patrick’s church as we take some quiet time with Jesus to reflect on the Beatitudes and how we live them.
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock – Sat 29th April – Including Mass celebrated by Archbishop Dermot Farrell, Anointing of the Sick, workshops including Jane Mellet speaking on Laudato Si and a workshop on Parish Partnerships and Lay Ministry. There are just a few seats remaining on the bus travelling to Knock from our Partnership of Donabate, Swords, Brackenstown and River Valley. To reserve your place contact the Donabate parish office.
Choir for Knock Pilgrimage – As part of the Diocesan Knock pilgrimage this year there will be a choir of many voices from all parts of the Archdiocese directed by Ciaran Coll. Stations of the Cross & Chaplet to the Holy Face – SUNDAY EVENING @ 6pm.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Reflections on the Beatitudes.
St Vincent de Paul church gate collection will be held next weekend the 25/26th March. Your support will be very much appreciated.
Donabate youth group – We are currently welcoming new members to join our parish youth group – an opportunity to connect with other young people to share views and discuss life questions, to learn more about faith, to listen to inspirational music, to have opportunities for reflection.

World Youth Day – Lisbon 2023 – the next World Youth Day, where young people from all over the world come together with the Pope to celebrate faith, will take place in Lisbon, Portugal from 1-6 August 2023. Dublin Diocese are currently starting to make their preparations to bring a group to this very special event. The event will be open to those aged 16 to 29. Anyone interested in travelling to World Youth Day next year with others from the parish, or in finding out more, please contact the parish youth leaders via myam.admin@gmail.com
