**********************************************************************************Meals on Wheels – Volunteer Drivers within the Donabate area.  We are trying to organise a reserved drivers list to step in occasionally when our regular drivers are unavailable.  If you interested in helping out please contact Deborah 086 8276555.


Parish welcome teams – a massive thank you to those who are already involved in our    welcome teams at the weekend Masses, however, we’d love to see more parishioners getting involved too! Being part of a welcome team simply involves arriving 15 minutes before Mass and handing out the newsletters and children’s activity sheets. The more people who are involved the less often anyone will be scheduled! If you think you might be able to help us on a weekly, monthly or even ad-hoc basis, give your contact details into the parish office (phone: 8434 574 email: ) Note: any under 18’s who might be interested in getting involved, please give parent/guardian contact details too.”

Eucharistic Adoration is held every Friday evening 6.30 – 7.30 in Donabate Church.  This is an opportunity to take time out of our busy lives for silent prayer in the company of Jesus our Lord.

Comhaltas Leithinis     2 additional registration evenings for music classes on Monday 16th and 23rd September between 6pm and 8pm in Donabate Community Centre.

We will be offering classes in tin whistle, fiddle and bodhrán to beginners and improvers and flute (improvers only) to adults and children over 7 years.

Annual family Comhaltas membership €20

Term 1: 12 classes costs €100
All fees due in full at registration.Classes will commence on Monday Evening, 30th September in The      Educate Together School at 6pm..

Céilí Dancing –  Monday night at 8.30 – 10 pm (from September – May) in Donabate Portrane Community Centre.  New members very welcome. Céilí dancing is great fun and an enjoyable way to get fit.  Cost:  €5.



Active Age Line Dancing on Mondays at 1 – 2 pm in the Donabate Portrane Community Centre.  We would be delighted to see new members in 2019.  It is a fun way to get fit and meet new friends.

Adoration of the Blessed Eucharist is held weekly in all three churches in the parish as follows:   St. Ita’s, Portrane – Wednesday 1-2 pm

Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Balheary- Friday 5-6 pm

St. Patrick’s Donabate – Friday 6.30-7.30 pm.      


The Donabate / Portrane Senior Citizens Social Club and Day Centre is open to all people of the parish over the age of 50.  We open every Wednesday and Friday from 10 AM – 1 PM in the Parish Hall.  We regularly hold events and have at least one outing a month.  All are welcome.  If you need transport to the Day Centre, please phone Mary on :  087 230 0496.
