Re-opening of our Church for Mass

Good news!

We are delighted to welcome you back to daily Mass at 10 am and weekend Masses, with a congregation of 90, in line with  Health & Safety Guidelines.

From Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September, Mass with a congregation of 90 will be celebrated in Donabate Church on Saturday at 6.30 pm and on Sunday at 11.00 am.  Mass will be celebrated in Portrane on Sunday 12 at 9.30 with a congregation of 100 and in Balheary at 11.30 am with 75.

We will have volunteers on the doors to manage the numbers entering our churches and look forward to seeing you.

Reminder on use of Facemasks: Just a gentle reminder that when coming into the church for Mass/private prayer etc, in order to protect everyone, please wear a facemask and sanitise those areas of the church where you have been with the sanitising spray provided.

Door Management Teams: In preparation for reopening of churches for public Masses, we are currently preparing our rotas for the door management teams. The role of the door management team volunteers is to assist with managing numbers in the church for Mass and sanitising the church after the Mass. If anyone, who was not involved previously, would like to get involved this time, either on a weekend or weekday rota, please contact the parish office in the coming week.
