Parish Newsletter 10/11June 2023

Change of Mass Time Saturday 17 June.  Mass will be celebrated at 5 pm rather than 6.30 pm.

Golden Jubilee Celebrations                                                                                              The time has come! Next week Fr Pat celebrates the Golden Jubilee of his ordination, marking 50 years as a priest. We would be delighted for all our parishioners to join with Fr Pat on Saturday next, 17th June, for Mass at 5pm (rather than 6:30pm), followed by light refreshments to mark the special celebration.

Exam Prayer Space – Little reminder about our Exam Prayer Space located on our youth notice board at the back of Donabate Church where we invite you to write your name, or the name of anyone you know who is studying/taking exams at this time. We also encourage parishioners to pray for our students at this time.

Children’s Activity Sheets                                                                                                  Little reminder to our children to take one of the “Look” activity sheets and crayons which are available from our welcome teams and at the back of our churches. The sheets have activities and prayers related to the Sunday Gospel so we encourage our children to take one which they can complete or  colour either during the Mass or at home. If they wish, they can also hand the completed sheets to the welcome team members after Mass who will place them on the notice board at the back of the church. We ask that you to return the crayons to the boxes at the church doors.

Summer Dues this weekend.     Envelopes are available at the Church doors. Your support of the Summer Dues will be very much appreciated.  All contributions collected will go towards supporting the priests of our parish and the priests of the Dublin Diocese.  Please provide your name and address on the envelope and if you are already a contributor to our Family Offering, please provide your Family Offering Number so as the parish team can allocate your donation to your account on its accounting system.

Novena to the Sacred Heart.       We will continue to pray the Novena to the Sacred Heart next Thursday 8 June to Friday 16 June.  Prayer cards are available on the table in the centre of aisle.

Time of Eucharistic Adoration this Sunday (11th)                                                       As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ this weekend, we will be having a time of silent Adoration in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, [tomorrow/today], Sunday 11th June from 6:30pm-7:30pm in Donabate Church.
