Building Hope through God’s Word
Saturday, February 11, 10am to 1pm at St Paul’s Centre for Mission & Ministry, Arran Quay. A morning workshop for those leading Adult Faith Sharing Groups and Children’s Liturgy. This will help you to grow in confidence. It’s an opportunity to explore Lenten resources and how to use them in your parish community. Building Hope through Servant Leadership
Five sessions on Monday evenings in Lent to introduce you to the practice of servant leadership: February 27, March 6, March 13, March 20, March 27, all 7.30pm to 9pm in St Paul’s Centre for Mission & Ministry, Arran Quay. This is especially for all those in parish ministries and pastoral councils. The Annual Sacrament of the Sick will be  celebrated next Saturday 11 February during the 10 am Mass.  We invite all to receive the Sacrament especially the housebound and the sick.  If you know of anyone you may need a lift to the church, please make arrangements with them.

Alpha Online – Autumn Season hosted by Cross Parish Alpha team – You are invited to join us for our new season of  Alpha Online – A 13 week series of talks, videos & chat in a relaxed atmosphere where we discuss faith. It’s your time to ask questions and share your own views. It’s 1 hour per week with one longer session, it’s free and you can connect from wherever suits you. Thursday evening sessions starting Thurs 26th Jan at 8pm. The Annual Collection for ACCORD Dublin, the Diocesan Agency for Marriage and the Family will be held at all Mass next weekend 11 and 12 February.  The ACCORD         collection will replace the Share collection.  Your support will be very much appreciated.

 

 

Donabate youth group – We are currently welcoming new members to join our parish youth group – an opportunity to connect with other young people to share views and discuss life questions, to learn more about faith, to listen to inspirational music, to have opportunities for reflection.

Our youth group currently meets online, on Friday evenings, and is open to those from 1st to 6th year of  secondary school. For more details  contact the parish youth leaders either via the parish office (stpatricksrcdonabate@gmail.com ) or via myam.admin@gmail.com

 

World Youth Day – Lisbon 2023 – the next World Youth Day, where young people from all over the world come together with the Pope to     celebrate faith, will take place in Lisbon, Portugal from 1-6 August 2023. Dublin Diocese are currently starting to make their preparations to bring a group to this very special event. The event will be open to those aged 16 to 29.      Anyone interested in travelling to World Youth Day next year with others from the parish, or in finding out more, please contact the parish youth leaders via myam.admin@gmail.com

 

Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock 2023 – The Annual Dublin Diocesan       Pilgrimage to Knock, led by Archbishop     Dermot Farrell, will take place on Saturday April 29th. Anyone who would be interested in travelling as part of a group from the area please contact the parish office.

Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock A bus will be travelling to Knock from          Brackenstown Parish.  Please contact the Donabate parish office for details if you would like to travel with them.  A limited number of seats are available.

 

Volunteer for Make-A-Wish® Ireland Wish Week 2023 – Make-A-Wish®   Ireland who grants wishes to seriously ill children and is appealing to the Donabate Parish to sign up to become a Wish Week 2023 volunteer. With a target to raise €100,000, Dunnes Stores has given permission to Make-A-Wish      Ireland to carry out bucket collections in their stores on ‘Wish Day’ on Friday 28th April 2023. ACTIVE AGE FOR ALL  – ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The AGM of Active Age for All  will take place in Donabate/Portrane Community Centre on Tuesday 17th January at 11.00 a.m. All welcome!

REGISTRATION for classes will take place after the AGM.

Classes will start on the 23rd of January.

 

Whist – Monday Nights in Donabate Parish Hall at 7.30 pm.                                                    New Members  Welcome.
